Cuts out the subject and removes the background, returning a clean transparent cutout. Processed in the cloud.

Remove Background sends the connected image to ArcBrush’s cloud service, which detects the foreground subject and erases everything behind it, returning an image with a transparent background. It is built for fast, clean cutouts of people, products, and objects without painting a mask by hand.

Several engines are available, from a fast open-source model to higher-quality options tuned for hair, fine detail, illustration, or product photography.

Usage Tips

  • Match the engine to the source: Bria RMBG 2.0 for hair and fine detail, Ideogram for illustrations and art, Pixelcut for product and studio photography, and rembg for a fast pass on clean subjects.
  • Feed the transparent result into Composite or Drop Shadow to drop the cutout onto a new background.
  • Run Mask Refine on the output to feather or tighten the cutout edge before compositing.
